2. What does the families mean?

What does the families means  is a set of typefaces that relate to each other. Bold, light and italic versions of a typefaces. There have 5 broads groups

Geometric- horizontal and vertical lines

Humanist- more detail and character

Modern- vertical and formal with sense of style

Slab serif- wide, sturdy faces with even stroke thickness

Old style- traditional looking serif
